This airflow sensor is sold separately and is required when installing a DGAPA in a system with A2L refrigerant.

Due to new regulatory requirements for A2L HVAC systems with electrostatic style air cleaners and purifiers, when installing a DGAPAXX**** with furnace units, Flow Sensor Kit SKU KIT160000 needs to be added to the assembly process. The air purifier should only be powered when airflow is present. KIT160000 Airflow Sensor must be installed when the air purifier is connected to HVAC units that have A2L refrigerant to prove airflow is present when powering the unit. Please see the Installation Instructions below for removing KIT161000 and adding KIT160000 to the DGAPAXX**** units.

NOTE: Air purifier models DGAPAXX1620, DGAPAXX1625, DGAPAXX2020, DGAPAXX2025 and DGAPAXX2420 when installed with fan coil air handlers already include the flow sensor as standard equipment with the fan coil product. No changes need to be made to the installation instructions on these models for fan coil units.
