- Periodic flue gas monitoring is a fast growing requirement for many gas-fired heating appliances. It is common today to conduct such monitoring by inserting special electronic probes into the vent line during actual operation. Drilling a small hole into the vent line and plugging the hole afterwards compromises the integrity of the vent system and creates an opportunity for carbon monoxide to escape the vent which jeopardizes public safety. To help address this field issue, IPEX is pleased to introduce our new Molded Access Tee to allow a safe inline access point for flue monitoring using fully certified System 1738® components.
