Phos-Copper Brazing Alloy

Stay-Silv® 5 Phos-Copper Brazing Alloy

• 4.8-5.2% Silver, 5.8-6.2% phosphorus, balance% copper, 0.15% max other (total)
• Medium-range alloy well suited where close fit-up cannot be maintained
• Filler metal is more ductile than Harris® 0 or Stay-Silv®2
• Self-fluxing on copper
• Use Stay-Silv® white flux when brazing brass or copper to brass (sold separately)
• Brazing range: 1320 to 1500°F (716 to 816°C)
• Solidus: 1190°F (643°C)
• Liquidus: 1494 to 1506°F (812 to 819°C)
